It is our pleasure to announce the new dates of the 13th Asian-Pacific City Summit, which was originally planned to take place in November 2020 but was postponed due to the spread of COVID-19. The new dates and the main theme of the Summit have been decided as follows:
Dates: Tuesday, 26 – Thursday, 28 October, 2021
Host: Fukuoka City, UN-Habitat ROAP-Fukuoka
Main theme: The Potential of Cities in the Face of Crises
The global spread of COVID-19 has had an enormous influence on all aspects of our daily lives. Cities, which stand at the forefront of the crisis, have the role, responsibility, and moreover, the potential to carve out a path into the new era.
Therefore, at this historic turning point of the new era, the 13th APCS shall be held in a hybrid format*, which combines both in-person participation and online participation, and lead discussions on new urban planning in the Asia-Pacific region.
*Please be aware that the format and other details of the meeting may change due to the situation of COVID-19.
